Camp Carnival Legend

Two years ago we went on the Inspiration out of Tampa. My 6 year old DD did not like Camp Carnv. The area for the kids was really small and few activites. She had gone on a Disney Cruise the year before and expected that again. We are thinking about taking the Legend out of Tampa. Does Camp Carnv on the Legend have more room and better activities than the Inspiration? Or should we take the car ride to other FL ports and go on a bigger ship.

We live near Tampa, so cruising out of Port of Tampa is 1st choice for us.

FYI: If you have a 2-4 year old, the Inspiration Camp Carnival would be fine. Just not for the older kids.

Well, the Legend is bigger than Inspiration but not super huge. (Inspiration is 70,000 tons w/2,050 passengers and Legend is 88,500 tons with 2,124 passengers.) Since I haven't been on it, I can't tell you how it'll be.

I'm surprised to hear there weren't that many activities b/c Carnival carries the most kids of any line at sea. We were just on the Carnival Triumph and my kids enjoyed the youth programming. But if you had a not great experience on Inspiration, you may want to check out the many big ships sailing from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.
