We are looking to cruise on the Conquest this summer. We will either have 4 or 5 travellers. We were considering doing a balcony stateroom.
How many people will a balcony room hold? What is the set-up if it's more than 2? I see on the Carnival site when you book more than 2 people, there's a discount on the 3rd, and 4th travellers. I would assume this is if all 4 people are in the same room. What rooms offer enough space to have 4 people? How would a suite work with 4 people? Is 2 balcony rooms the way to go? |

Most balcony staterooms have two twin beds that can be pushed together to make a king sized bed and a sofa that is essentially another twin sized bed. Some cabins other specific bedding configurations. Check out the deck plan of the Conquest. There are annotations on different cabins regarding things like adjoining rooms, single convertible sofa, double convertible sofa, etc.
Enjoy your cruise.

I can't see 5 people in a cabin at all. And, I'm not sure that balcony cabins will hold 4. As suggested, go to their wesite and look at the actual layouts. I would go for 2 cabins. Ironically, for inside cabins, it can be cheaper to get 2 than to book a cabin for 4, as they are a higher category.

Some balcony cabins are equipped to hold 2, 3 and 4 guests. I've had four in a cabin a couple of times, so the balcony comes in very handy. To fit four there are the two twin beds, the convertible sofa (not a pullout) and a bunk that comes down from the ceiling. I've read that some ships have family cabins which will hold 5 but you should check with Carnival directly.

Thanks for the responses. We may end up going with a balcony and an inside cabin. Those kids don't need a balcony
