These figures are pretty outdated though. Being that the article was written in 02 if i'm correct, it still states the Voyager Class to be the largest in the world. Obviously the Freedom Class currently holds that title. I'm interested in seeing some definite plans, sketches/schematics for whatever RCI has plans to follow their Freedom Class with. I assume this will be their 220,000K Ton, Genesis version. Carnival is in the market to only upsell themselves. Notice sometime how they market their newest ship(s) as being the largest FunShips ever produced. Its a true statement because theyre not the largest ships, but the largest in the Carnival fleet and I think we all agree that Carnival is in a class of its own. The Splendour is their newest "hybrid" as i like to call it, ship. I say this being that its design is similar to the Conquest class ships, but since its original destination was in the Costa family, it is slightly larger and has expanded public, spa and childrens areas. For those looking at Disney, they have unveiled the curtain in front of the 2010 and 2011 debut of the largest floating magic kingdoms. I personally want to experience one of the newest disney ships simply because of sheer size. Hopefully the lines will start dropping hints to names, statistics and due dates for their genesis ships within the next couple months or at least by mid 08.
