Not quite; we rented a condo, so we were 5 minutes drive apart. Though I was allowed to spend a couple of weekends with her later one (one at her house, one at mine)

Yeah basically. Even though I didn't have a cruise last summer, it ranks higher than any summer during which I did take a cruise. And I thought at the beginning of summer that it was going to suck. Boy was I wrong...

That's good then. I mean you had the beach and your girlfriend, what else could you want besides the ship? haha

Well I don't hate the beach its just I would rather be doing adventurous excursions instead of relaxing on the beach. On my cruise I ziplined, climbed a waterfall, snorkeled, and swam with dolphins. Cruising isnt all about the beach. Haha

Yeah, I loved the adventurous aspect of cruising. Though I must say I haven't met anyone who loves cruising and would rather work out than relax on the beach.
I do enjoy doing those things as well, just not every cruise. Once every 2 or 3 cruises, sure, but not every one.

Its not that I would rather work out. I like adventurous sports. I rock climb so I would much rather do something like that than go to the beach

Yeah i dont understand how people can enjoy the beach that much. Its sand next to an ocean. I might as well pull up a lawn chair into my yard and lay there. Weird concept.

Well.... I haven't been on a relationship before a cruise BUT... I did meet someone on a cruise more than 3 years ago and ended up going out with her for a few months recently.

We didn't talk for almost 3 years, and I received a phone call from her in November ... we talked a lot and met up over winter break when I was back in LA.... leading us to kinda going out for the past 3 months but we broke it off a few days ago...

Crazy, huh?

Did your ex live anywhere near you? How did you go out with her if you met her on the cruise. Pretty cool.

Forgive me, I didn't read all the posts but...

First of all, i give much much respect to those guys and girls who cruise while in a relationship. It takes more willpower than anything i've experienced in my life, not to do anything. I had 3 cruises like that and...it almost killed me. I've spend 5 years on ships and have almost always been single...and rather popular among my peers onboard. Hooking up has almost become like...one of the activities onboard. "Lunch, Bingo, Headliner Showtime, Parade on Promenade, Hook Up with ____________, Midnight Comedy" etc. Its difficult, but worth it i suppose.

That's cool! I see that you are new here.
Welcome to Cruisemates. Here you will find all the information about cruising for teens that you need to know. Ryan (DJCarolina) probably has the most information anyone on these boards has seen. Anyway everyone here is really nice and helpful. I'm Michael by the way.
