Once we got back into town, we split up. Joe wanted to go to Senor Frogs, and I needed to shop, so Jim went with Joe, and Josh went with me.

My shopping list is as follows:

Spices

Vanilla

Hot sauces

Tee shirts

Banana Rum

Jerk Rub

In Grand Cayman

Rum cakes (I have their web site, so if anyone would like to order through the mail, let me know)

In Jamaica

Jerk Rub

Jerk sauce

On the ship:

Tee shirts on the last day when they go on sale

Glass dolphins

Teddy bears

This morning we went back to the dinning room for breakfast. The food is so good.

We are now making plans to what to do today. Today seems like BINGO day, and I have never seen a bingo, Jim didn’t like

[/b]Yes, I am still reading these. Thank you so much for posting! My husband and I will be on the Conquest Sept. 16 and I cannot wait. This will be our second cruise (first was July 2005 on Ecstasy) and our first balcony room. I am so excited!

Yes, Yes, we are reading! I would like to know more about the Dolphin excursion, but I can wait until you are home for that. I know that since this is the last full day of your cruise, you are probably starting to get a little sad that it is almost over, but don't worry, you have another booked already, so now you can just start planning the next one.

We are packing now. Because Joe's program is tonight, we wanted to go ahead and get it done. I just checked their room, and again everything is dirty. I guess they will be easy to pack, because I put everything in the dirty clothes bag.

We are very sad. This has been such a great cruise. A few bumps in the road, so to speak, but nothing we could not deal with. As the Jamaicans say, "We didn't have problems, we had minor situations"

We did find out that the excursion will not be refunded, and what happened with Joe and the rescue will not be mentioned. I guess what is not mentioned, isn't real. That's okay. We will survive, and we don't have the privilege of knowing what the powers to be have in mind on situations like this. The good news is we will all leave the ship in one piece. We had a great time. No one seems disappointed about anything, and thanks to good planning, we won't spent the next 6 months paying on our cruise.

I want to thank all of you who shared this cruise with us. I enjoyed reading your posts, and many times, sat here and read them to my family. We all got a kick out of your excitement.

We should be home by tomorrow evening, and after Jim leaves for the desert Monday morning, I will get back on here, when it won't cost a thousand dollars a minute, and answer all your questions.

Although it will be painful, I have every intention of helping those of you who are still looking forward to your, in some cases, first cruise.

Cruising is such a great thing to do. It is even better, if you are able to spend it with your family.

I take the word love very seriously, and I can truly say, that I love you guys, and I love Cruisemates.

God Bless you guys, and we will talk to you guys on Monday, if not before.

Love,

Luanne

Luanne, I have thoroughly enjoyed your travelogue! I haven't sailed on the Conquest -- not until September and the 4B's cruise! Your posts are a great mixture of information and your personality! I almost feel like I'm one of the family.

One suggestion, keep an umbrella handy for tomorrow morning. We have had a lot of rain the last few days, and I think it is predicted for tomorrow, as well. Sorry to rain on your parade.

I'm glad you have another cruise already booked. It makes it a little easier to see one end if another is on the horizen.

Hiya Luanne!
I'm sorry that your trip is coming to an end but I'm glad you had a good one!

Now that you've done both of my top 2 choices for Cozumel excursions, which one did you prefer...
Shotover Jetboat and Cancun
or
Dolphin Discovery at Chankanaab Park
?

Anyone else have an opinion on the two? I WILL do one of those two
Also, if you book the dolphin thing from the DD website is it refundable if we don't dock in Cozumel for some reason (hurricane, etc.)? I will research on their website, but wondered if anyone knew.

Thanks for all of the EXCELLENT info
Have a safe trip home, Luanne

Luanne, I have enjoyed your travelogue and looked forward to reading it every day. I'm taking it all in and could imagine being there with you and your family!

I just found out when picking up my swimming pool pass that one of the ladies who works in my apt building office has cruised a lot and Carnival is her favorite, so we just talked for about half an hour about my plans and she's full of advice. I told her about the cruisemates website, she'd never heard of it. I can't wait till I have finally had my first cruse July 29th so I can talk to her about it and share my review/point of view for those who have never sailed Sensation.

I'm still debating taking my laptop along so I can connect to the wireless network onboard every evening for half an hour while my son plays nearby in the video arcade, and doing a travelogue like you, Kuki and so many others have done.

I really want to be pc free for a change. As the trip gets closer, I'll have to made that decision and see if I can curb my addiction for a week.

I think we will all miss our virtual cruise with you, Luann....you got 3400+ hits on your travelogue! Of course we are reading! It was a whole lot of fun reading along! I grabbed up some new hints for our next cruise as well. Maybe next time we won't miss the dolphins.

I am a bit worried about my friends who are sailing along side you on RC....first the robbery of a group of 17 cruisers at the Banana Plant in Jamaica, now the river rafting ordeal? I hope my friends return tomorrow in one piece!

Please thank Jim for us and the great job he is doing for our country...we'll hear from you when you get back...

OH NO! It was the CONQUEST on that Banana Plant Robbery. I just re read the local news site. Looks like Luann's cruise was full of drama!

From 11 News Staff Report

What was supposed to be fun in the sun turned into a nightmare on a cruise.

It happened to passengers of a Carnival Conquest that left Galveston Sunday.

Reports indicate two men held 17 tourists at gunpoint during a land tour in Jamaica.

One woman was slightly injured when a robber cut a camera strap off her neck.

Carnival says one suspect was arrested, and most of the stolen items were recovered.

We did know about the robbery, but didn't know the truth, so didn't;'t report.

We are in the process of turning around. We have a medical emergency. Not my family.

We are turning into the wind, for the helicopter to catch up.

More later!!!!

Luanne -

Thanks for posting your adventures. It was like I was there! I would love to have the website for the rum cake. Also I am a HUGE baker/cook. I would love to know your recommendations about where you get the wonderful Vanilla in Mexico.

They just gave away a free 7 day cruise. The woman who won it, is the one who lost her husband 2 years ago, in Cozumel, while he was snorkeling. They went back to Coz to lay flowers and do a ceremony.

Good things do happen to good people.

Who else has been reading my adventures?

Luanne,

I have been reading a few times a day....I feel like I have cruised with you without ever leaving NH.

My fish heard thru the fishline about what was happening out on your balcony... they are still blushing

Safe trip home

Luanne, I'm not familiar with the various bars/music venues. Is there a piano bar? How crowded/smoky is it? Is it fun? Other than the shows, any other entertainment that shouldn't be missed?

Hi Luanne,
Thank-you so much for this wonderful post. It has heightened the excitement for our trip in a couple of weeks. I will be traveling with 4 '16 year-old' girls. I must have been nuts to take this on, but it will be fun. Tell Jim that he and all the service people are in my prayers every night. I just hope my girls will eventually meet as great as your boys. The world these days is very scary.. They want me to take them on the new Russia cruise next year since it will be their last summer home. Hopefully, I can save that much money.

Thank-you for this great post.

Kathy
