When we first started cruising we would always book shore excursions or venture out on our own and run helter skelter trying to get everything accomplished in the short period of time we were in port.

After many cruises and investigating the ports of call that we have visited, we now exit the ship only to replenish supplies or spend a few hours at a favorite beach. It's wonderful staying on the ship when it is in port, perfect time to reconoiter, do laundry, check emails, get a massage, work on your tan. All the entertainment venues are closed and also the formal dining rooms but the Lido deck buffet is open.
