yes peter i do like RCL and im not whining either...i like RCL u like NCL and thats fine by me...and yes u do take oppurtunities to trash RC. on the 1 asking evry1's cruise line some1 said RCL and u were ranting about the explorer and said how much RCL sucks...i dont even think u stated ur favorite line...im not lookin 2 argue or nothin but this whole thing just irritated me wicked bad

Yes, I did say that I don't like the curfew on RCL but I never 'trashed them.'

I am truly very sorry it irritated you wicked bad. I guess since I have no life then all I do is complain about RCL, and you get offended by this because you love them so much. Ok whatever floats your boat.

dude im trying to end this stupid debate by sayin im not lookin 2 argue n all that and and ur comin at me like that...u make it sound like im obsessed with RC and im not. i jsut thought there was something odd about ur review and i thought something was missin from it...so jsut chill out man. ok you dont like the curfew that's kool...y cant u jsut say that instead of adding in a RCCL SUCKS and all that. that's what irritated me. not thae fact u didnt like the curfew i could care less bout that that is ur opinion. let's jsut end this debate or sooner or l8tr its gonna be a endless forum of just you and me going back and forth and i dont think any1 wants to read that

I'll point out that the curfew does make RCL a poor cruise line for teens. If I can go out at home without a curfew, why should I ask my parents to spend 3,000 plus dollars on an inside room on RCL just to have a curfew?

Yeah and one thing that really bothered me was the little kids, like the preteens who were always up to something (loitering, bothering people, knocking on doors) had the SAME curfew. It was crazy, my 17 year old friend had the same curfew as his 11 year old brother. I think they should do something about that for sure. Any curfew which restricts one from enjoying their vacation is terrible, but why cant the mature teens be able to stay out?

i never had trouble with the curfew...i was usually out till 3 every night and never got in trouble...i also look older then i am so that might have been a factor too but im just saying

Okay, you may not have had trouble, but the majority (and I'm talking like upwards of 90%) of people have. If you haven't, thats awesome, but don't put down someone who had a bad experience either (especially when it is more than one person). Everything Peter has said is true for a large majority of people.

Curfew is annoying, without a doubt, and has earned RCL some pretty nasty reviews from teens mainly because no other cruise line has a curfew unless absolutely necessary (and I'm talking extreme circumstances). Every cruise line has its ups and downs, it just so happens RCL has a major downer.

Oh and I thought I would point out I watched the Explorer sailing away yesterday. Very fun

I'm agreeing with mike on this one. i went on rccl in 2006 my main issue was the curfew. i was walking around trying to find my mom for crying out loud and they approached me asking for my card. i showed it to them. at the time i was only 15 so they told me i needed to go back to my room. i was honestly looking for my mom but still i was walking around not even talking. the curfew does suck and i would sail carnival over royal anyday. carnival is cheaper therefore i get more cruises and now that im 18 either way i wont have the curfew but its still annoying to those who do that are on vacation and dont want it ruined by stupid deck patrol out to escort everyone back to their rooms as soon as 1am hits.

i wasnt putting any1 down mike...i jsut thought something was missing from the review...but i have heard other reviews about the curfew so it just depends who is the security for your ship...i've jsut gotten lucky so far i guess

Overall, RCL is a pretty good line, I think. I was 15 in 2004 when I sailed on them. They have the potential to be a very attractive cruise line to teens, if they just get rid of the curfew and teach their security personnel better people skills.

That's just my 2 cents worth.
