Default worried about future hurricane - wish Alaska were year round

Well, I wish Alaska cruising was year round, but obviously I know why. Coming from the south, we worry and fight hurricanes during hurricane season - whose peak is from Aug - September. I wish I would have made it sooner, because I m now worried about future storms (there are two more depressions out there) and leaving if something is heading my way. I know - I would be safer leaving, but I do have family here.
