Was that in December 08 by chance? Our best friends went Dec 5 last year and she said the ship listed and it looked like people were climbing up a hill and the stuff in the shops was flying of the shelves and breaking. She likes riding waves and she said that scared her.
Remember this picture? This will be all of us sailing this weekend in the Caribbean. HA HA
I hope you are wrong about this weekend! From the looks of that picture, I don't think my stomach could handle that. I leave Sunday. I pray it will be calm seas!! Have a great trip!!!!

I HOPE WE ALL HAVE SMOOTH SEAS
I hope its not like that in Dec I will be cruising Dec 08-08.
Most of the storms are over by DEC. right?
last Jan on the ecstasy (smaller ship) it was VERY rocky and lots and lots of people got seasick! I bet half the ship was green. Now i'm very prone to getting ill on fishing boats esp at sea, but luckily i dont seem to be affected by sea sickness on ocean liners. I remember not being able to actually keep both feet on a stool in the casino, or you'd fall off, you had to keep on foot on the floor or else!
but we were on the rivera deck, lowest you can go and never ever saw a wave up to the window! i'd have either thought, "cool" or "OMG HELLLLLLP!!!!"
I did a search for your pic and it says that material is missing. Help, I can't see it. I'm guessing I probably really don't want to see it but oh well.

I've struggled all my life with motion sickness. Couldn't go on rides at tne fair or merry-go- rounds. I had a prescription for the patch and it worked fine. I never could ride in the backseat of a car without draminine.

We have cruised a couple of times in Dec with nothing but calm seas. I do think that it would be neat to be on a ship with waves like this at least once. I don't think that the wife would agree with me.
We have sailed with seas like that. Got caught between 2 hurricanes! Very unusual set of circumstances. But, took our bonine, aka meclizine and we were fine. We also went up on deck for a while. Scary? A little, but the ships are so big that it just isn't as bad as you might expect. We were getting hit by spray 9 decks above sea level! Actually, in hind sight, it is one of our favorite cruise memories. Quite a rush, but also humbling, to be in the middle of nature's temper tanrum.

"The Atlantic hurricane season is officially from 1 June to 30 November. There is nothing magical in these dates, and hurricanes have occurred outside of these six months, but these dates were selected to encompass over 97% of tropical activity. June 1st has been the traditional start of the Atlantic hurricane season for decades. However, the end date has been slowly shifted outward, from October 31st to November 15th until its current date of November 30th. "
That is 1/2 of the year. So book between December and May.
