Winter has returned for a couple of day and then another warm up.

Manny.... very nice story, I wish hubby was open to moving however I would prefer to be a snowbird.

Good morning. We had rain sometime during the night but not sure when or how much. I had to put the ac on last evening as it just got too hot in the house, will keep it on as long as needed. Nothing planned for today. Yesterday I got a call that the biopsy taken from my nose is basil cell so am set for Mohs surgery March 9th.

Today is a quiet day for us. Mrs. TM is going over all the paperwork we need to get our income tax filled.
Since we got over an inch of rain last night, I won't do any yard work today. I will take a walk instead.

When we first moved to Florida, I was going to be a snowbird. The first two yeas we did spend part of the summer in Connecticut. However as I got used to living in the ''Sunshine State''. I lost the desire to leave for more than a week or so. We live near the coast and the summer here in ''Flagler County'' is not bad at all. It's not as hot as it is in Southern Florida.
Also keeping a second home became too expensive for us. I way paying more in utilities for our place in Ct. as well as more than twice the property tax than I pay in Fl. Even the insurance on our house is lower.


I agree that moving to Florida is not for everyone, but it's nice not to deal with ice or snow plus the fact that you save a lot of money when you move here from the Northeast.

Hi all,

Wrote a longer post in the daily thread. Otherwise, just busy as usual. Too busy! Need to slow down a bit. Vacation coming up soon. Can't wait, but not really ready for it, either!

Picked up a couple of grands yesterday and watching the third grand tomorrow. They keep me busy and it is so fun having more time to watch them grow and learn! The oldest is picking up words right and left. Learning so much. Waiting on the second oldest to start in with this learning-loads time in his life. Loving it so much!

Had my stinky dog groomed yesterday. It was before Christmas when it was done last, so it was really a needed item. She came home smelling fresh and SO much better!! Now, she is looking for a place to roll in something smelly, but the snow will prevent her from doing it!! !

Well, hoping all who are ill are getting better. Have a good day to all and a great upcoming weekend!

Good morning. Have been to the grocery and while there I smelled some fresh cooked fried chicken so we are having that for dinner. It looks like it will rain and I know that later he temp will start to fall so maybe I can turn the ac off.

As usual, our day included some medical appointments. Today it was dentist visit for Mrs. TM this morning and she has PT session this afternoon.
I always take to these places because she still has some back pain and prefers not to drive.


As the afternoon wears on, I hope that everyone is having a great day.

Didn't work quite as late last night and hope tonight will be shorter still.

Guess the East Coast got some real climate change yesterday. We got less than an inch but temps are in the teens now.

A late good morning. Have been to BJ's for a form and they will call me when it is in and then to Lowe's where I bought a couple of African Violets, a friend on Facebook has been showing photos of them so I decided to see if I can now grow them, at least they were only $3.69 so if they don't make it I won't have spent much. The temps here are pretty good so I have the front and back doors open getting the fresh air, so nice.

I did visit my eye Doctor this morning and I don't have to go back for a month. But I do see my retina specialist in two weeks.

Good morning. I slept late today, it was 8:30 before I got up, but I don't have any plans for today. Yesterday I bought two African Violets, hopefully I can keep then alive, have not done very well with them in the past. The temps are so nice that I have the front and back open.

We do have a busy day ahead of us without any medical or Doctor's visits.
The best part of the weekend for us is that we don't need to use the 'medical mobile' . Today it will be just a plain vehicle which we will use to get to the movies and to a nice restaurant.

It was a lovely day here. I spent much of it inside doing housework. I finally got everything done.

I did manage to take the dog for a walk. Stopped by and visited with my friend Bea while we were out. We sat in her front yard and talked.

Today is an easy day for us, we are going to church and out to lunch. I do have a small chore to do outside this afternoon but I keep chores to a minimum on Sundays.

Good morning everyone! Yawn!! Lazy day, have to do chores for the cats but resting up after a busy Saturday visiting Longwood Gardens in PA for their annual orchid extravaganza!

Happy Sunday,

We had a nice weekend, weather wise and otherwise. Temps were in the mid to high 50s and we got in a pair of good walks. The DW had brunch with friends yesterday morning. Last night we had a "dinner for 12" at the pastor's house. After church this morning we entertained a young couple just back from two months in northern Iceland. She has done an art/music installation for their winter arts festival. It is fun to talk to the "youth" (they are younger than our kids so they are still kids, right) and absorb some of there energy.

BTW: I haven't seen anything from Lakers Fan. Is he okay, or have they just gone traveling again? I don't remember him mentioning a trip so soon after his cruise.
