This is third cruise I've tried to get a roll call going. The others had no replies, so maybe third time's the charm.
Just booked this today. Anyone else going?
Smakie--I am going with another lady from my bereavement group. We both lost our husbands last year, mine in Aug. and hers in Oct. I thought I might have to cancel because the friend who originally wanted to go had to back out. I had just met this new friend and she asked if she could go if my other friend couldn't. I was ecstatic!
She and I are looking at ship tours because we feel more secure and not worried about getting back on time. However, I have asked on my roll call if anyone has a private tour in mind for Naples/Capri, as I'm not keen on any of the ship tours. I would like one that goes to Naples/Capri/Pompeii for a reasonable price--probably too much to ask, lol. Not having been to any of those places I want to see them all.
I have chosen some ship tours, but not booked any yet.
I'll be interested in your experience. When do you leave?
So sorry to hear about the passing of your husbands. I'm glad to know that you are travelling and continuing to get out there and enjoy life - I'm sure that's exactly what they would have wanted you both to do.
Travelling on May 10 - Barcelona to Venice - 12 nights. I'm going to look into private excursions, because I'm travelling with parents and an adult sibling, who has mobility problems - sometimes needs a wheelchair and has seizures. I wouldn't want to hold up the ship's bus excursions due to our personal medical problems. Will definitely let you know if I find anything interesting about Naples.
Have been to Europe before (land tour), but first time in the Mediterranean and a bit of a newbie for cruising. Looking forward to it!
