Default WIFI?

This is our first cruise and we were thinking about taking one of our laptops with WIFI so that we can talk to our kids on the Skype that was included with the computer. My question is will they charge me for using my computer even when I'm not hooking up to their USB ports in the internet cafa but using the WIFI? Thanks Leaving 05/18/09

Yes. You will be charged. You will have to connect to thier network on the ship to get out. It is not cheap and its slow. People tend to write messages ahead of time, copy and paste and send out. Its not set up for all day chats. That would lead to fustration and taking a big chunk out of your wallet.

Life is too short to let the ship of your dreams sail without you.

Unless you can find a free WiFi hotspot in port you will pay. You use the same service no matter how you connect WiFi, Ethernet, or their terminals. Same prices for all services $.40 to $.75 a minute depending on the plan you purchase.
