Alaska shore excursions

Need help picking shore excursions for Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Vancouver and Anchorage. Which are your favorites???

A glacier helicopter landing! We did the 4 glacier one in Juneau. You can't imagine how spectacular they are until you see them up close. It is well worth the expense.

We did the White Pass Railway in Skagway and liked that too. Try to sit on the left going up.

Take the white pass railway in Skagway and take the tram up to a shop and view point in Juneau. It has a nice walking trail that gives good views and beautiful scenery. Very low cost plus the shop has a good patio to have a beer. I own a place in Ketchikan. Beautiful but nothing for tours. Walk around town and possibly go to where the salmon are jumping in the marina in town. All walking distances.

WE also did the White Pass Railroad in Skagway, very scenic and informative ride, little on the long side, fell asleep on the way down, guess its all that fresh air up there...

In Juneau went whale watching with Capt. Larry, would also recommend that excursion.

How about the Misty Fjords flightplane? Is that worth it?

We just got home last week, did the helicopter Glacier landing - excellent. Salmon bake in Juneau. Yummy! And the Wilderness kayaking out of Skagway, they take you to Haines for it. Very good.
