Yes, you can carry on non-alcoholic beverages. You will have a stocked mini-fridge. You will want to be sure your stateroom steward knows what you have brought so they attribute things correctly.

You are allowed to bring a bottle of wine per adult.

Default mini fridge

We always just put a luggage tag on two 12packs of soda(make sure to tape the heck out of it to prevent breaking open) and then they will just deliver it to your stateroom. Also we have never had a mini fridge that kept things "cold" so we just pack a thermal picnic cooler bag. Slip the steward $10 bucks and it will always be full of ice and then you have ice cold soda, water, beer ready to go.

Yes there is a nice bucket. It may be hidden in the mini-fridge to help preserve the ice.

Thanks for info. Have two friends who have been on Princess Ships this year, one the Crown Last Month. They have been great help. Now need to find someone who sailed on Caribbean Princess out of Bayport, Houston Tx. It seems FB pages for cruises on Princess are not very big can't find one. Were as 11 months out we have 78 members already for Disney Fantasy May 30, 2015.

Changed? I didn't hear anything about an official change lately. True they don't enforce the dress code to the max but nothing official that I've hear of.

Was reading what actual cruise people are reporting. Actions speak louder that words. Have two friends who have been on Princess in last 6 months said casual is in.

We were on Coral last month. There were two formal nights the other evenings were "smart casual." I had an AWOL suitcase and wore khakis and a polo shirt on the first formal night. Nobody said a word.

We also sailed Ruby in February for a five day cruise. I did see some shorts in the dining room. I commented on that to the hostess. She said they were pretty relaxed on the short cruises.

Default Change

Its here, I do feel if its formal night, suit and tie are min. But I also feel that if you get up set at what other people are waring on a cruise you are cheating yourself. You are vacation.
We are not interested in formal night just did that in June so will go eat at one of the specialty rest. But will bring C/T just incase have to eat in MDR i know some like to make this a big night.

We haven't paid much attention the dress code on Princess in many years. All they require is a decent pair of dress pants & a long sleeve dress shirt even without the jacket. You'll be in the minority for sure but will still be seated. There no need to spend extra money at a specialty restaurant or eat in the Horizon, especially if there's better food in the DR. They like to make everyone feel comfortable no matter what the style of dress.
